Panther Career Net (PCN) is Georgia State University’s 24/7 online job and internship board. Upload your UCS staff-approved résumé and apply for part-time, full-time, and on- and off-campus jobs. Access PCN with your campus ID and password.
Portfolium is a network for students and alumni to collaborate on projects, ideas and opportunities, rather than a static repository to store their work. Connections, likes, comments and messages make it a hub of activity and engagement. Additionally, Portfolium remains free for students even after they graduate.
CareerShift is here to help you with your job search. For access, register or log into your PCN account. Once you are logged in, scroll down on the homepage to the online tools and resources area, and click on CareerShift.
CareerSpots are online career education videos highlighting essential cornerstone principles – each just three minutes or less. Students can access CareerSpots anytime and from any location.
Focus 2 Career Assessment combines self-assessment, career and major exploration, decision making and action planning in one to help students select majors, make informed career decisions and take action.

GoinGlobal Career & Employment Resources
Visit the Global Forum to chat about living and working abroad! GoinGlobal offers an international job board plus access to worldwide nonprofit opportunities posted via Idealist.org. Log in to PCN, and visit GoinGlobal to launch your international internship and job search. For additional tools, create a personal account.
Glassdoor provides students with free access to a wealth of information, including:
- Salaries: Research employee salary, bonus and compensation details.
- Interviews: Find actual interview questions and experiences from candidates.
- Company Reviews: Identify pros and cons of working for a particular employer, and see employee ratings on culture and benefits.
- Jobs: Search millions of jobs in one place.
H1 Base has convenient solutions for international students who need to find jobs and or sponsorship. H1 Base is a comprehensive online databases of employers by occupation, industry, geographic location. The H1 Base can be accessed via Goinglobal. Log into your GoinGlobal account (or register) and click on the H1B info tab at the top of the page.
Hoover’s is an online tool to research company data. The database delivers comprehensive insight and analysis about the companies, industries and people that drive the economy along with the powerful tools to find and connect to the right people to get business done.
Virtual Interview Practice Stream (VIPS), is an online interview practice system that allows users to record their answers to real interview questions. It is advised that you meet with a career counselor to review and to get positive feedback. Students can access from any location if they have a webcam or schedule an appointment to record an interview in the University Career Services office. Rep’nUp – Use Rep’nUp to clean up your Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts and get rid of questionable content before starting your job search. Their image processing algorithms present you with problematic photos and texts from your profile, allowing you to easily prepare your online image for the eyes of an employer.
Volunteer Solutions is a service provided by our partners in the Office of Civic Engagement. This site allows you to search volunteer opportunity postings. Users Students can access 24/7/365 from any location. Visit Georgia State University’s Office of Civic Engagement (428/429 University Center) for access. Note: Volunteer opportunities will be posted via OrgSync beginning July 2015.
