A: A job posting is a marketing document that should list the major responsibilities, requirements and details of expectations. Let students see what type of projects they would work on.

  • Include a range for salary level. Even if you put “Depending on Experience” at the end of it, a range helps the students know more of what to expect than something like “competitive.”  A salary plus commission position can be written as "$30,000 plus commission.”
  • Select a few target majors for the “Majors” section. Selecting “All Majors” can get you passed by.
  • Students care about the culture of an organization. Make sure your website tells who you are.
  • Consider coming on campus for a career fair or workshop. Read more about opportunities to connect.
A: The posting of flyers or other materials on the Georgia State University campus must be in compliance with Campus Posting Policy.
