SkillsFirst (formerly known as Optimal Resume) allows you to quickly create impressive, professional resumes and cover letters as well as short training videos to show potential employers why you’re the best job candidate.
CareerShift is a search tool that returns results from several career sites and job boards. Students can save and organize jobs within specified search criteria.
What Can I Do with This Major? is a question you might ask yourself, but it’s also an online search tool topic that will help you understand the broad range of careers that correspond to any major.
O'NET, a program from the Department of Labor, is the nation's primary source of occupational information. Use this to research which jobs are predicted to have strong growth.

- LinkedIn: Create a professional profile that includes your educational background and skills to connect with other professionals and build your own network.
- Networking: Talk to people who work in the field in which you’re interested, and let people in your life know about your job search. It’ll help you build a foundation of professional connections that will serve you now and in the future.
- Professional associations: Look for professional groups in your area of study, and join or attend their events. Not sure about which groups will work for you? Do some research (Panther Pro Tip: Try searching your major + professional association), and talk to your professors about their own professional group memberships.
